Ordering, Delivery, Payment and Other Information

Currencies:

Prices are quoted in pounds sterling (GBP) and will be converted at the appropriate exchange rate by your credit/debit card company. You can use the 'Currency Converter' link on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen to calculate equivalent amounts in other currencies but these will not necessarily exactly match the amount determined by your credit/debit card company and are indicative only.

To find a product:

To find a product you can either browse the product categories, use the 'Product Search' facility or browse the 'Full Product Listing', which lists all products in alphabetical order of title. All these options are shown on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

To add an item to your shopping cart:

When you find a product you want to buy just click on the 'Add to cart' button to put it into your shopping cart. The default quantity is 1 but you can amend this to whatever you require. When you have added an item to your shopping cart you can continue shopping by using the options shown on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen or you can proceed with the checkout process - see below.

To view or amend the contents of your shopping cart:

To view or amend the contents of your shopping cart click on the 'View Shopping Cart/Checkout' option on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen. You can then delete items, amend quantities or cancel your entire order as required.

To empty your shopping cart:

To empty your shopping cart click on the 'View Shopping Cart/Checkout' option on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the 'Empty' button. This will empty your shopping cart.

To checkout:

When you add a product to your shopping cart you are taken to the first checkout screen (Screen 1 below) but you can start the checkout process at any time by clicking on the 'View Shopping Cart/Checkout' option on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen.

Screen 1 - Select payment and delivery methods.

If you are happy with the contents of your shopping cart, you should select a payment method and a delivery area and method from the options shown and then click on the 'Continue with checkout' button at the bottom of the screen. You can amend the contents of your shopping cart or empty your shopping cart at this stage as described above.

Screen 2 - Enter your name and contact details and delivery details, if different.

The next screen will show the contents of your shopping cart and the delivery charge together with an amended order total. Below this you enter your personal information, such as name, address, E-Mail address and so on and, if necessary, you can also enter separate delivery details as well. You do not enter any credit/debit card details at this stage. When you have finished you should click on the 'Confirm Order' button at the bottom of the screen. To cancel your order at this stage click on the 'View Shopping Cart/Checkout' option on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the 'Empty' button. This will empty your shopping cart.

Screen 3 - Print order confirmation (optional).

This is simply an order confirmation screen which you can print off for your records but please note that a confirmation E-Mail will also be sent to you. When you are ready you should click on the 'Proceed with payment via Paypal' button at the bottom of the screen. This will take you to a payment page on the Paypal website where you can pay as described in the following section. To cancel your order at this stage click on the 'View Shopping Cart/Checkout' option on the menu on the left-hand side of the screen and then click on the 'Empty' button. This will empty your shopping cart.

Payment:

The payment process is handled by Paypal.

Clicking on the 'Proceed with payment via Paypal' button, as described in the previous paragraph, will take you to a payment page on the Paypal website. Some of your details, such as your address, will already be filled in from the details you entered during the checkout process (see 'Screen 2' above) but you will need to enter your card details on this screen as shown and then click on the 'Make payment' button to make the payment. You can cancel the payment process at this stage by clicking on the 'Cancel Purchase' button.

Clicking on the 'Proceed with payment via Paypal' button, as described in the previous paragraph, will take you to a payment page on the Paypal website.

Please note that your shopping cart will not be emptied during the checkout process, this only happens when you either close your browser or the session times out on the server. We do this so that if you have a problem during the payment process, you can return to your shopping cart and try again. You will be allocated a new order number when you reach Screen 2 of the checkout process as described above.

Security:

Your credit/debit card details are not passed to ABC Publications at any stage. The payment process is handled by Paypal. Your card information is passed from your browser to Paypal in encrypted form using 128-bit SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption, the same type of encryption used by most banks for their on-line banking services.

Personal Information:

ABC Publications does not pass on any personal information to third parties and no personal information is stored on our web server at any time.

Delivery:

We deliver to any destination in the world. We send all orders via Royal Mail, using 1st Class Post for destinations within the United Kingdom and Airmail for all other destinations. 1st Class Post will normally arrive the day after depatch. Airmail to Europe should arrive within 3 days of despatch and airmail to destinations outside Europe (including the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) should arrive within 4 days of despatch. We try to depatch all orders the day after they are received but you should allow up to 10 working days for delivery.

Delivery costs will be calculated and shown during the checkout process, after you have specified a delivery area (zone) and method. Please note that we only charge for the actual cost of postage - we do not charge for packaging.

Guarantee:

We guarantee that your order will be sent to you in new condition and securely packaged. If you are not entirely satisfied with your order then please contact us within 10 days of receipt for a replacement or full refund. Any replacement will be sent free of charge.

Our CDs are created using the IMAPI ISO-9660 Formatter which is part of Windows XP. This produces CDs to the ISO-9660 standard which are readable in all CD-ROM drives complying with the ISO-9660 standard. Each CD is individually tested for readability before despatch using CD testing software.

Complaints:

We promise to handle all complaints in an efficient and courteous manner.

We offer a ring-back service for customers who have purchased goods and wish to talk to us directly. To use this service you should E-Mail us at the above E-Mail address and include a summary of the matter you wish to discuss, your order reference number, your location (so that we can use the correct international dialling code, if required), your telephone number and a time (UK local time) when it will be convenient for us to call you. Please try not to ask us to ring you back at midnight!

Taxes:

All prices shown are inclusive of UK taxes, where appropriate. You are responsible for payment of any other taxes and duties, including import taxes or duties levied in the country of delivery.

Governing Law:

Your order and payment and the despatch of the goods form the basis of a contract under the law of England and Wales. Your statutory rights under the law of England and Wales are not affected by these terms and conditions.
